About Us

Little Davey and Uncle Carl

Our story begins...

Carl Hensler began this farm, on the fertile banks of the Ohio River, in 1953. He raised sweet corn, bell peppers, hot peppers, and a couple hundred acres of field corn and soybeans. He also helped raise his nephew, Dave Westfall, seen here driving the tractor with Uncle Carl.

The tradition continues...

With Carl's encouragement, Dave followed in his footsteps. In his whole life, Dave never wanted to be anywhere else, or do anything else, and could always be found helping Carl on the farm. He is proud to say he learned everything he knows form Uncle Carl.

The next generation...

Sadly, Uncle Carl passed away in June of 2016, at age 84. Before he left us, though, he helped welcome the next generation of farmers to the family. Dave and his wife, Mandy, had twin boys, Jackson and Maxon. They can often be seen riding on tractors with their daddy, just as Dave did with Uncle Carl.
